Day with Krishna

100 paintings of Krishna – Art Exhibition by Amita Bhakta.
HCCNA Temple – Harvest, Alabama – August 29th, 2017
I had given myself a challenge in 2016, to paint 100 paintings of Krishna within one year. This became most beautiful time of my life. Every day I couldn’t wait to get to my easel in my studio to start painting, excitement among my friends and family kept building if I am going to reach my goal. I had variety of paintings which can fit in a hand to huge 4’x 6′ paintings and every size in between. I had used canvas, paper, boards, fired stoneware clay, steel, to glass as my supporting ground to paint on, used acrylics, enamels, oils and encaustic paints.
I drifted every night thinking of paintings of Krishna and could wait for morning to come so I can paint Him with my brush. I painted about 114 total painting till the exhibition date came and I had to put my brush down. We exhibited them at HCCNA where it was pure pleasure to see all the paintings in one room. Hundreds of people attended and became one of the most successful fundraising event for HCCNA. It was truly a divine experience of my life.
