Mix Media Lamps

Each Diwali, my mother would buy several diyas – unglazed earthenware oil lamps – to decorate our home with. These simple handmade clay objects were dear to me, and I looked forward to seeing them every year. The lamps bathed our home, and all others in the neighborhood, in a special glow. My friends and family all have fond memories of this.

With these handmade lamps I’m taking that memory of the glow that the diyas give out to create night lamps for my home that carry a similar hue.
